Hello again, I'm back from my vacation and enchanted to be back here!
Before we start I wanted to thank tod @ s for your comments and of course my new followers, I thank you from the heart!
As you know I dedicate every Friday to art, is what I call post-art and today I wanted to incorporate this amazing campaign, is that of Alexis Bittar jewelry designer in which he presents his 2012 Resort Lookbook.
Only with the use of mannequins, animal figures, surreal images and jewelry neon, was enough to surprise the audience with a very original.
The New York designer Alexis Bittar is known for its carved Lucite jewelry (a type of synthetic resin used in jewelry) and gemstones. Bittar started selling his creations inspired by Art Deco Bakelite jewelry, he came back into fashion in the street markets in SoHo, until Dawn Mello, the creative director of Bergdorf Goodman, he discovered his work, and a year later his and jewelry could be found in stores like the Museum of New York Guggerheim, Saks Fifth Avenue or Barneys New York. Alexis Bittar has collaborated with the designer of the series Sex and the City, Patricia Field, on the catwalk in ads for Burberry and Estee Lauder, and although his early career working Bittar in his own bedroom, now directs a workshop of 160 who carved and hand painted each of the pieces in their collections.
